Jhamman Lal PG College, Hasanpur, Amroha is affiliated to the M.J.P. ROHILKHAND UNIVERSITY, BAREILLY. The college was established in 2006 in semi urban area named, Hasanpur. This is situated at Hasanpur- Gajrola link road. This is at 12 Km. distance from NH-24 Delhi- Moradabad National Highway.
The college is a self finance institute managed by Jhamman Lal Educational Society. The Management committee members belong to various walks of life and the founder of this college is respected Mr. Gopal Saxena. This is the first self finance institute of the Hasanpur region district Amroha, U.P., India.
The college initially began imparting teaching in Arts, Science & Commerce Faculty with the subjects- Hindi, English, Home Science, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and Geography in 2006. The departments of Drawing & Painting, Sanskrit, Education, Urdu and Psychology in 2011, History and Mathematics were established in 2014. B.Sc. classes were started in 2006 with Bio group (Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry) and Maths group (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) completed the subjects at graduation level in Science Faculty. Since the college is developing in both, the building and the faculty. At present the college has a huge building and many faculties, Arts Faculty Post Graduation Classes M.A. in English and Home Science (2011) and M.A. in Geography (2014) and Drawing & Painting, Urdu, Economics, Political Science, Sociology (2015) in the Science stream M.Sc. in Chemistry (2014), Zoology, Botany, Physics and Mathematics (2015). The department of Commerce is established in (2011) with B.Com Under Graduate level and Post Graduate M. Com. In (2015) upgraded face of the college.
In a decade the college has made a great progress and still is on the path of progress. The college has a very rich library with reading hall. It has large collection of books on various subjects.
There is internet facility and Wi-Fi, CCTV also available in all departments and Administrative Block. With all the above mentioned, the college feels that the academic excellence has no limits and so the college continues to strive to reach higher and higher heights.
